Established in 2000 by professional skateboarder Andrew Reynolds, Baker Skateboards is an American skateboard company renowned for its high-quality skateboard decks, soft goods, accessories, and wheels. The brand's history began with a secret lunch meeting in 1999 between Reynolds, Tony Hawk, and Per Welinder, which led to the formation of Baker Skateboards without the knowledge of J. Strickland or any of the original riders. In 2007, Baker signed a distribution deal with Blitz Distribution, a company founded by Hawk and Welinder, which also distributed brands like Birdhouse, Fury, and Hook-Ups. By 2008, Baker had become the top-selling brand under the Blitz Distribution umbrella. The original Baker logo, designed by co-founder J. Strickland, symbolised a diverse company of talented skateboarders and contributed to the brand's iconic status in skate culture.
